The following biography was taken from Corbin Maxey’s website.  When you have a chance please visit as he has some amazing pictures with his many creatures.

Corbin Maxey is a twenty-eight-year-old nationally recognized animal expert, biologist, and television personality. He is most notable from his numerous appearances on “The Today Show”,  “Late Night with Seth Meyers”, “Inside Edition”, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Martha Stewart Show”.

Corbin has been surrounded by wildlife for as long as he can remember. He spent the majority of his childhood in the mountains of southern Idaho where he spent his days observing snakes, lizards, frogs and toads. He even developed an exotic animal collection, which included his first lizard named “Booger!” Corbin’s passion for all animals influenced his decision to commit his life to them.

At the early age of twelve, Corbin founded Cyprus Hill Reptile Reserve, a non-profit organization located in Meridian, Idaho dedicated to reptile rescue, conservation, and education. To this day, Corbin has found homes for hundreds of homeless, abused, and neglected reptiles and amphibians.

At the age of fourteen, Corbin wrote, produced, and starred in “Reptile Rampage,” a weekly live performance at a local accredited zoo featuring “Shere Khan” an Albino Burmese Python, “Soni” the alligator, “Tinkerbelle” the tortoise, and “Scooter” the iguana. The show was an instant success and attracted thousands of people and helped spread the message of responsible pet ownership.

Corbin has since worked in conjunction with top zoological facilities where he worked with all different types of animals including Orcas, Bottlenose Dolphins, Beluga Whales, tigers, giraffes, penguins, primates, and reptiles. Corbin even received his first kiss at Busch Gardens Africa—it was from a female giraffe named “Betty!”

In 2008, at 18, Corbin became the youngest producer and host of his own television show called “LIVE with The Reptile Guy.” The ten-episode local series was based in Boise, Idaho, and featured animals and the people that dedicate their lives to them. It went on to produce four successful seasons that featured over 300 animals in nearly 30 episodes. Following “LIVE” Corbin achieved another milestone, appearing four consecutive times on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” making him their youngest animal expert to date.

In 2010, Corbin launched “Creature Feature”; a weekly animal-related segment on ABC’s KIVI-TV in Boise. The segment has featured many animals including cats, dogs, camels, monkeys, sea lions, kangaroos, zebras, sloths, porcupines, and numerous reptiles.

In 2011, Corbin began making regular appearances on “The Today Show.”

In 2012, he began documenting the East African Vulture Crisis in Kenya alongside Dr. Munir Virani, a raptor biologist from The Peregrine Fund.

In 2014, Corbin made over a dozen appearances on “The Today Show” and was featured in “Kathie Lee and Hoda’s Funniest Moments of 2014”.
